Infusoria
- This is just algae (greenwater) and other microscopic
critters like rotifers and paramecium (infusoria)
- Excellent first food for fry , as the tiny microorganisms
can be caught and eaten by even the smallest fry
- Most tanks used for spawning already have infusorians
present , but not in enough numbers to sustain an entire
spawn for very long
Preparations
- Put some lettuce in a jar of treated water, and leave out in
the sun and air . The minute infusoria spores will settle on
the water from the atmosphere and multiply on the
products of the decaying lettuce .

How To Feed
- An eye dropper or baster can be used to move the infusoria
to the tank with the newborn fry. Be careful as the water
can foul to the point it is toxic and some sources indicate
the micro-organisms can be harmful.
